Activities
The project "Different, but Together" encompasses a series of interconnected activities aimed at promoting European values through art, creativity, and active civic participation.
Activity 1: Art Camps
Within the project, art camps will be held in Varna and Burgas, bringing together young people and people with different abilities. The camps provide a space for collaborative creativity, mutual discovery, and the development of new skills. Participants will work together under the guidance of professional artists and facilitators, creating artworks that reflect their experiences, dreams, and messages of equality and solidarity.
Key elements of the art camps:
- Workshops in painting, sculpture, and applied arts
- Collaborative creative projects between participants with different experiences
- Mentorship from professional artists
- Discussions and sharing of personal stories
Activity 2: Online Gallery
The creation of an online gallery is a key activity that ensures visibility of the artworks created during the art camps. The gallery will present not only the artworks but also the personal stories of their creators – what inspired them, what message they carry, and how the creative process has influenced their self-perception and confidence.
The online gallery will be:
- Accessible to a wide audience via the internet
- Multilingual (Bulgarian, English, German)
- Adapted for people with different needs (accessibility)
- Continuously updated with new artworks and stories
Activity 3: Public Events and Exhibitions
The project includes the organization of public events and exhibitions in Varna and Burgas, where the artworks from the art camps will be presented. These events aim to reach a wide audience – citizens, media, institutions – and to spark public dialogue on the topics of equality, inclusion, and human dignity.
- Exhibitions of artworks in gallery spaces
- Interactive events with the participation of the creators
- Panel discussions on the role of art in social change
Activity 4: Communication Campaign
The communication campaign aims to promote the project's values and raise public awareness of the importance of inclusion and non-discrimination. The campaign will use various channels – social media, traditional media, website – to reach a diverse audience.
- Social media campaigns featuring participants' stories
- Video content documenting the creative process
- Media partnerships and publications
- Distribution of informational materials
Activity 5: Network Cooperation
The project encourages the building of a network of organizations, artists, and activists working in the field of social inclusion and artivism. Through the exchange of experience and best practices, partners strengthen their capacity and create sustainable connections for future joint initiatives.
Activity 6: Management and Reporting
Effective project management includes coordination among partners, monitoring of activities, financial management, and reporting to funding organizations. This activity ensures transparency and quality of implementation.
Expected Impact
Through the implementation of these activities, the project aims to build skills, confidence, and active civic engagement among participants. We expect to create conditions for meeting, interaction, and mutual learning between people with different experiences and abilities. The long-term impact is a change in attitudes towards diversity and the strengthening of European values of equality and solidarity in local communities.
